Calicut University Approved Counselling Centre


College has formed a charity club named “KARUNA” with a view to prepare the students work amongst the poor and needy in the society. Karuna helps the students to understand the living conditions of the poor & destitute in the society and encourage them to provide humanitarian support as they can.

Karuna club members have carried out the following activities during the academic year 2011-2012.

  • Visited sandhwana bhavan, Kallettumkara and provided the inmates with cosmetics and sweets. They have also presented some cultural programmes and friendly talks enquiring about the personal matters of the inmates.

  • Visited Abhaya Bhavan, Porathissery and provided clothes cosmetics to the inmates.Club members spent some hours along with them and made them happy with friendly talks.

  • Visited DIVYA KARUNYA ASHRAMAM Kallettumkara and handed over financial assistance to a girl for her marriage

  • “Karuna” helped 8 months old little girl, Amrutha, with full financial assistance for her heart surgery. Now she is doing well after the successful surgery.

  • Financial support also given to heart surgery of a little boy (6 months old) Athul Krishna

  • Karuna helped 18 years old sreelakshmi of chalakudy with financial assistance who is suffering from assistance was also given to a 13 year old boy at Madayikonam(Mapranam) for his eye operation

In addition to these, club members are also involved in blood donation scheme in association with janamythri police,irinjalakuda.
