Jyothis College celebrated its college days for the academic year 2011-2012 at College auditorium on 13th February 2012. Sri Davis Kannovrikal, editor, Express Evening Daily Inaugurated the college day celebrations. Jyothis College Principal Prof. A.M .Varghese Presented College report for the academic year 2011-2012 Jyothis group of institutions chairman Jose J Chittilapilly and Catholic Centre administrator Fr. Sebastian Ambo ken CMI were present.
Jyothis College Administrator Sri. George Vazhapilly awarded mementos to the chief guests. Variety of entertainments enriched the programme. Prizes were distributed to the winners in arts and sports competitions. Sri P M Shahul Hameed Master President Kerala Citizen Forum gave his felicitation. Staff representative Smt. Blessed Chavara Day & Endowment distribution |

Jyothis College organized a function on the occasion of blessed Chavara day on 13th February 2012 at College auditorium. Mar Pauly Kannukadan, Bishop, Irinjalakuda diosese inaugurated the function and distributed the Educational endowment established by the relatives of Fr. Sebastain Ambookan CMI in connection with Golden Jubilee of his religious profession (Priestly Ordination).
The endowments were awarded to the top scorers in M.Com, B.Com and BCA courses for the academic year 2010-2011. All the passed out students from the same batches were awarded with special prizes. Catholic centre administrator Fr. Sebastain Ambookan CMI presided over the function. Little Flower Convent High School Principal Sr. Florence, Jyothis College Principal Prof. A.M Varghese, staff representative Smt. Varuna N.S and student’s representative Alphonse Ancy Thomas gave felicitation.

| One Day Camp |

A one day camp was conducted for Degree Final Year students at Jyothis College auditorium on 4th February 2012. The topic was ‘Motivation’. The Camp started at 10 A.M with prayer and guided by Mr.Santhosh Babu and Mr.J.C Sreekumar, Psychotherapists, Mind positron centre for Personal Excellence, Kodakara.
The class provided Positive thinking, Team Spirit and increased communicative ability among the students. Group discussions and variety of games enriched the camp. The camp was concluded at 4.30 P.M.

The connection with Mullaperiyar strike, Jyothis College and Vision Irinjalakuda conducted a human chain giving the message that immediate action is the real remedy instead of discussion in Mullaperiyar Issue.
Hundreds of persons from different social sectors participated in Human Chain without political factors and religious sentiments. And it act ended from irinjalakuda Bus Stand to Tana Junction. Sri.Shameen Abdhulkhadar of S.S College, Areecode, Malapuram District and team comprising of Anjana Hari.C and Keerthana Suresh.K of National Higher Secondary School, Irinjalakuda won the championship in 6th Suvarna Kairali Quiz competition held by Jyothis college.
Under college category team consisting of Ms.Sethuparvathi and Mehrabi.H of Asmabi college kodungallur, Anjana.K.S and Neethu.K.Dof St.Joseph study centre irirnjalakuda, secured second and third prize respectively.
Under Higher Secondary School category, team consisting of Deepak.T and Neeraj Murali of Sandeepani Vidhyanikethan, Thrissur, Anju Sreedharan and Navya Gayika of Model Boys Higher Secondary School, Irinjalakuda secured second and third prize respectively.
More than 150 students participated from 30 colleges and 35 higher secondary schools. Dr.P.P.Balan, Director, KILA inaugurated the programme. Catholic centre administrator fr.Sebastian Ambookan CMI honored previous NSS captains. Prof.Sebastian joseph released the career journal and Jyothis college chairman Sri.Jose.J.Chittilappilly presided over the function.  On the auspices of Jyothis College and Vision Irinjalakuda, a Mega IT & Management Exhibition “TECH TATVA-201” was inaugurated in Jyothis College, Irinjalakuda on 13th October 2011. With the aim of providing the public new born technologies in IT and Management field.
Mr. V.P.Nandakumar, Chairman, Manapuram Group, inaugurated the exhibition. Fr. Sebastian Ambooken CMI, Administrator Catholic Centre presided over the function. Dr. Sudha George Valavi, Principal, Sahrdaya College of Engineering and Technology was the Chief Guest. Fr. John Paliekkara CMI, Chairman Catholic Centre distributed prize to the winners of the competition held by Vision Irinjalakuda. Sri.  Tech Tatva-2011 IT and Management Exhibition conducted by Jyothis College in association with Vision Irinjalakuda successfully concluded on 14th October with the presence of thousands of visitors. More than 12,000 distinguished visitors from 48 Educational Institutions, 14 Government Offices and 26 Financial Establishments enriched the programme.
The closing ceremony was inaugurated by Sri.A.J.Antony, Vice Chairman, Irinjalakuda Municipality. Jyothis College Principal Prof.A.M.Varghese presided over the function. Fr.Sebastian Ambooken CMI, Administrator Catholic Centre delivered blessing message. Sri.A.J.Antony distributed awards to the winners of the exhibition. Pavilions: - Robotic Surgery & Smart Clothes and Remote Sensing secured A grade. Holography, Invisible Computing, Metro Rail, Remote Control Home Appliances, Air Craft and 3D TV secured B grade. Anroid OS, Smart City, Digital Cinema and International Finance got C grade. The programme was guided by Ms.Deepa, Sari, Vibin, Sunith, Joshy, Mobin, Syam Shankar, Amal Krishna, Nikhildas, Charls, Arunbhaskar and Shinas. | Suvarna Kairali Quiz Competition |

 NSS Unit of Jyothis College organized Suvarna Kairali – Inter Collegiate Quiz Competition on 4th November 2010 at Jyothis College Auditorium. Prof.C.Ravindranath MLA of Kodakara inaugurated the function. Prof.A.M Varghese, Principal of Jyothis College presided over the function. During the function NSS Logo was inaugurated by Rev.Fr Sebastian Ambooken, Administrator of Catholic Centre and Suvarna Kairali Logo was inaugurated by Mr.Jose.J.Chittilappilly, President of Institute for Research and Services. Mrs.Varuna.N.S, NSS coordinator welcomed all and NSS captain Naveen Wilson gave vote of thanks.
Quiz competition started with preliminary round of written test at 10 am to select six team for the final round. There were 29 teams from different colleges for the preliminary round. The selected teams for the final round were as follows.
- Vittol.T.Paul and Nikhil Rajagopalan from st.Aloysius College Elthuruth .
- Sreevidhya.V.P and Anjitha.T.A from St.Mary’s College, Thrissur.
- Rajesh and Subin Sudhi from Presidency College, Mala.
- Muraleedar and Maneesh from Presidency College, Mala.
- Niyas.P and Ansar.R from College of Forestry Kerala Agricultural University, Mannuthy.
- Praveen.A.T and Bibin Paul from Co-operative College, Thrissur.
Final round started at 1.30 pm with six teams on the stage. Mr.Jain.J.Therattil , Lecturer, Zoology department at St.Aloysius College Elthuruth was the quliz master. The competition was very interesting with active participation of audience (students of Jyothis College and other colleges). Winners of the competition were given awards in the closing ceremony. Prize distribution was done by Adv.Thomas Unniyadan, MLA of Irinjalakuda.
First Prize Rs. 2001/- along with certificate bagged by Nikhil Rajagopalan and Vittol.T.Paul , St.Aloysius College, Elthuruth. Sreevidhya and Angitha at St.Mary’s College Thrissur got 2nd Prize, Rs. 1001 along with certificate. Miss Deepa, NSS assistant co-ordinator gave welcome speech and Sanjay.T.S delivered vote of thanks in the closing ceremony. |

 As a part of the second phase of Blood Literacy Campaign, Janamaitri Police Suraksha Samithi in association with IMA blood bank, Thrissur conducted Blood donation camp at Jyothis College on 18/10/2010. Inauguration of the camp was done by Mr.Vimaladitya, Assistant Superintend of Police, Irinjalakuda by donating his blood. Students of Jyothis College co-operated very well with the camp by donating their blood on 135 students donated blood on that day. Rotary club supported the camp by distributing lemon juice and bananas to the blood donors. |

 Jyothis family get together was held at Jyothis College on 30th August 2010. It was inaugurated by Rev.Fr.Sebastian Ambooken, Administrator of Catholic Centre. It was a one day programme with lunch. Staff of Jyothis participated in various cultural programmes including skit presentation with a 15 minutes preparation. It ended by 4.30PM. Family get together gave the staff an opportunity to know each other and to build team spirit and co-operation among them. |

 1st Batch of Jyothis College (2004-2007) organized Jyothis Sneha Sangamam on August 26, 2010 at Jyothis College. It was a one day programme with lunch with interacting session in the afternoon. After welcomed all the students of their batch (2004-2007), Administrator of Catholic Centre Rev.Fr.Sebastian Ambooken and the students together inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp. CD’s with the sweet memories of those college days was published by Sri Jose .J.Chittillappilly, Director of Jyothis College. Principal Prof. A.M.Varghese, Teachers Mrs.Latha Xaviour, Mrs.Radha Chandran graced the occassion with their presence. Momentoes on behalf of Jyothis College were given to all the students who participated to the programme. CD’s of the sweet memories of their college days were distributed to the students.  Jyothis College celebrated Onam on 19th August 2010. Mr. Jackson U.G – ‘Idea Star Singer Fame & Season4’ inaugurated Onam celebration with his Hit Song “Thuhi Mera Sab Hai……….”.
Prof. A.M. Varghese, College Principal presided over the meeting and Mr. Krishna Kumar. K, Manager welcomed all. Onam Message was delivered by Mr. Jose J. Chittilappilly, Director of Jyothis College and felicitations by Mrs. Varuna N.S. the staff representative and Biju Varghese Co-ordinator of Bharathiar University Distance Education, St. Aloysius College, Competitions were held for ‘Onapookalam’. And ‘Maveli’ and prizes were given to the best judged one. 
Programmes for onam celebration were organized by fine arts committee.
Morning session entertained with cultural programmes of the students. It started with Kaikottikali and ended with ‘Kalarippayattu’. Kalarippayattu by Omal Sankar and Faisal was the attraction of the Morning Session.
 Onam lunch was served in their respective classes Food Committee was selected in each class to organize Onam lunch. Afternoon session started with ‘Pulikkali’. It was followed by various group games including Tug of war (Vadam Vali).
Prizes were distributed to the winners of various competition in the closing ceremony programme ended at 4.00 p.m.

 Classes for first year students started with ‘Vidhyarambham’ function on June 17, 2010. Vidhyarambam was inaugurated by Mar.Pauly Kannokadan, Bishop of Irinjalakuda Diocese.  കാലിക്കറ്റ് സര്വ്വകലാശാല ബി.കോം പരീക്ഷയില് ഇരിങ്ങാലക്കുട ജ്യോതിസ് കോളേജ് വിദ്യാര്ത്ഥികള് തിളക്കമാര്ന്ന വിജയം കരസ്ഥമാക്കി. 92% വിദ്യാര്ത്ഥികളെ വിജയിപ്പിച്ചാണ് കോളേജ് ഈ വിജയം കരസ്ഥമാക്കിയത്. പ്രൈവറ്റ് രജിസ്ട്രേഷനില് യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റി വിജയം നേടിയ വിദ്യാര്ത്ഥികളെ ആദരിക്കുന്നതിന് ചേര്ന്ന അനുമോദന യോഗം ഉണ്ണായിവാര്യര് സ്മാരക കലാനിലയം പ്രസിഡണ്ടും ദേശീയ അധ്യാപക അവാര്ഡ് ജേതാവുമായ ശ്രീ.പി.കെ. ഭരതന് മാസ്റ്റര് ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തു.പ്രിന്സിപ്പാള് പ്രൊഫ. എ.എം.വര്ഗീസ് അദ്ധ്യക്ഷതവഹിച്ചു. കാത്തലിക് സെന്റര് അഡ്മിനിസ്ട്രേറ്റര് ഫാ.സെബാസ്റ്റ്യന് അമ്പൂക്കന് സമ്മാനദാനം നടത്തി. ജോസ്. ജെ. ചിറ്റിലപ്പിളളി, ബിജു വര്ഗീസ്, ശ്രീമതി ലതാ സേവ്യര്, ഡാനി വിന്സന്റ് എന്നിവര് ആശംസകള് അര്പ്പിച്ചു. പ്രീത എന്.കെ. സ്വാഗതവും ഷാരോണ് നന്ദിയും പറഞ്ഞു. |

 പരിസ്ഥിതിയെ രക്ഷിക്കാന് മനസിലെ ആശയത്തിന് ഛായം ചാലിച്ച് ജ്യോതിസ്സ് കോളേജ് പരിസ്ഥിതിയെ രക്ഷിക്കാന് മനസിലുള്ള ആശയത്തിന് ഛായം പകരാന് അവസരമൊരുക്കി ഇരിങ്ങാലക്കുട ജ്യോതിസ്സ് കോളേജില് ലോകപരിസ്ഥിതി ദിനം ആചരിച്ചു. പരിസ്ഥിതി സംരക്ഷണ സന്ദേശം ഉള്ക്കൊള്ളിച്ചുള്ള സമൂഹ ചിത്രരചന, സ്കിറ്റ്, വൃക്ഷത്തൈ നടല് തുടങ്ങിയ പരിപാടികളാണ് പരിസ്ഥിതി ദിനത്തില് കോളേജ് അങ്കണത്തില് സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചത്. ക്രൈസ്റ്റ് കോളേജ് സുവോളജി വിഭാഗം തലവന് ഡോ.ജോണ് തോമസ് സമൂഹ ചിത്രരചന ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തു. കാത്തലിക് സെന്റര് അഡ്മിനിസ്ട്രേറ്റര് ഫാ.സെബാസ്റ്റ്യന് അമ്പൂക്കന് വൃക്ഷത്തൈ നടല് നിര്വ്വഹിച്ചു. ജ്യോതിസ്സ് കോളേജ് ഡയറക്ടര് ജോസ്.ജെ.ചിറ്റിലപ്പിള്ളി അദ്ധ്യക്ഷതവഹിച്ചു. വിദ്യാര്ത്ഥികളും അദ്ധ്യാപകരും ദിനാചരണ പരിപാടികളില് പങ്കെടുത്തു. മിസ്. പൂനം മോഹന് സ്വാഗതവും ഡാനി കെ.എ നന്ദിയും പറഞ്ഞു. |

 ഇരിങ്ങാലക്കുട ജ്യോതിസ്സ് കോളേജിന്റെ ആഭിമുഖ്യത്തില് സംഘടിപ്പിച്ച ഇന്റര് കോളേജിയറ്റ് ക്വിസ് മത്സരം സുവര്ണ്ണകൈരളിയില് തൃശൂര് സെന്റ് മേരീസ് കോളേജ് ഒന്നാംസ്ഥാനവും ഇരിങ്ങാലക്കുട സെന്റ് ജോസഫ്സ് കോളേജ് രണ്ടാംസ്ഥാനവും ഇടുക്കി കുട്ടാക്കാനം മരിയന് കോളേജ് മൂന്നാംസ്ഥാനവും കരസ്ഥമാക്കി. ജ്യോതിസ്സ് കോളേജ് ഓഡിറ്റോറിയത്തില് നടന്ന സുവര്ണ്ണകൈരളി ക്വിസ് മത്സരം തൃശൂര് കോസ്റ്റ് ഫോര്ഡ് ഡയറക്ടര് ടി.ആര്.ചന്ദ്രദത്ത് ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തു. ജ്യോതിസ്സ് ഗ്രൂപ്പ് പ്രസിഡണ്ട് ജോസ് ജെ.ചിറ്റിലപ്പിളളി അദ്ധ്യക്ഷതവഹിച്ച. കാത്തലിക് സെന്റര് അഡ്മിനിസ്ട്രേറ്റര് ഫാ. സെബാസ്റ്റ്യന് അമ്പൂക്കന് അനുഗ്രഹപ്രഭാഷണം നടത്തി. ഡോ. ശ്രീകുമാര്,  എന്.എസ്.എസ്. ക്യാപ്റ്റന് അഖില് കെ.അനില് എന്നിവര് ആശംസകള് നേര്ന്നു. കോളേജ് പ്രിന്സിപ്പാള് പ്രൊഫ. എ.എം.വര്ഗ്ഗീസ് സ്വാഗതവും എന്.എസ്.എസ്. കോ-ഓര്ഡിനേറ്റര് മായ പി.സി. നന്ദിയും പറഞ്ഞു. വൈകീട്ട് നടന്ന സമാപന സമ്മേളനത്തില് ക്രൈസ്റ്റ് കോളേജ് ജിയോളജി വകുപ്പ് മേധാവി എ.വി. ജോര്ജ് സമ്മാനദാനം നടത്തി. കേരളത്തിലെ വിവിധ പ്രദേശങ്ങളില് നിന്നും 36 കോളേജുകള് സുവര്ണ്ണകൈരളിയില് പങ്കെടുത്തു |

 ഇരിങ്ങാലക്കുട ജ്യോതിസ്സ് കോളേജിന്റെ ആഭിമുഖ്യത്തില് ബാങ്ക് മെര്ജര് എ ബൂണ് ഓര് ക്യൂര്സ് എന്ന വിഷയത്തില് നാഷണല് സെമിനാര് സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചു. ടൗണ് കോ-ഓപ്പറേറ്റീവ് ബാങ്ക് ഓഡിറ്റോറിയത്തില്വെച്ച് നടന്ന സെമിനാര് അസി. കളക്ടര് എം.ജി.രാജമാണിക്യം ഐ.എ.എസ്. ഉദ്ഘാടനം നിര്വ്വഹിച്ചു. കോളേജ് പ്രിന്സിപ്പാള് പ്രൊഫ. എ.എം.വര്ഗ്ഗീസ് അദ്ധ്യക്ഷത വഹിച്ചു. കാത്തലിക് സെന്റര് അഡ്മിനിസ്ട്രേറ്റര് ഫാ. സെബാസ്റ്റ്യന് അമ്പൂക്കന് അനുഗ്രഹ പ്രഭാഷണം നടത്തി. ഗുരുവായൂര് ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണ കോളേജിലെ സാമ്പത്തികശാസ്ത്രം വിഭാഗം മേധാവി ഡോ.വി.കെ.വിജ യകുമാര് കേരള സംസ്ഥാന ബാങ്ക് എംപ്ലോയീസ് ഫെഡറേഷന്റെ മുന് ജന.സെക്രട്ടറി എം.സിയാവുദ്ദീന് എന്നിവര് പ്രബമ്ധാവതരണം നടത്തി. തുടര്ന്ന് നടന്ന ബിസിനസ്സ് ക്വിസ് മത്സരത്തില് തൃശൂര് ഗവ.എന്ജിനീയറിംഗ് കോളേജില് നിന്നുളള മിത്രനും, ഷിബിന് ആസാദും ഒന്നാംസ്ഥാനം കരസ്ഥമാക്കി. കോഴിക്കോട് എസ്.എം.യു. കോളേജിലെ റിയാസ് റഹ്മാനാണ് രണ്ടാസ്ഥാനം. ഉപന്യാസ മത്സരത്തില് ഇരിങ്ങാലക്കുട ക്രൈസ്റ്റ് കോളേജിലെ ബിസ്റ്റണ് കെ.എസ്. ഒന്നാംസ്ഥാനവും ഇരിങ്ങാലക്കുട ജ്യോതിസ്സ് കോളേജിലെ നയന അഗസ്റ്റിന് രണ്ടാംസ്ഥാനവും നേടി. |

 വിഷന് ഇരിങ്ങാലക്കുടയുടെ ഭാഗമായി ഇരിങ്ങാലക്കുട ഡോട്ട് കോമും ജ്യോതിസ്സ് കോളേജ് ഐ.ടി. ഡിപ്പാര്ട്ട്മെന്റും സംയുക്തമായി സംഘടിപ്പിക്കുന്ന രണ്ടു ദിവസങ്ങളിലായി നടക്കുന്ന ഐ.ടി.എക്സിബിഷന് ടെക് തത്വ ജ്യോതിസ്സ് കോളേജില് ആരംഭിച്ചു. അറിവിന്റെ പുതിയ വാതായനങ്ങള് തുറക്കുന്ന വിവര സാങ്കേതിക മേഖലയുടെ അനന്ത സാധ്യതകളെ വരച്ചു കാണിക്കുന്ന, 20ല് പരം ഇന്ഫോര്മേഷന് ഹട്ടുകള് അടങ്ങുന്ന ഐ.ടി.എക്സിബിഷന് സന്ദര്ഷിക്കാന് നൂറുകണക്കിനാളുകളാണ് എത്തിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നത്. ടസന്റ് ജോസഫ്സ് കോളേജ് വൈസ് പ്രിന്സിപ്പാള് ഡോ.സി.റോസ് ബാസ്റ്റ്യന് അമ്പൂക്കന് മുഖ്യപ്രഭാഷണം നട ത്തി. ജ്യോതിസ്സ് കോളേജ് പ്രിന്സിപ്പാള് പ്രൊഫ.എ.എം. വര്ഗ്ഗീസ് അദ്ധ്യക്ഷത വഹിച്ചു. വിഷന് ഇരിങ്ങാലക്കുട ചെയര്മാന് ജോസ് ജെ.ചിറ്റിലപ്പിളളി എക്സിബിഷന് പരിപാടികള് വിശദീകരിച്ചു. ബിജു വര്ഗ്ഗീസ് സ്വാഗതവും മഞ്ചുള സി. നന്ദിയും പറഞ്ഞു. |
